Kuldeep Kumar shattered the national pole vault record, clearing 5.41m in Bhubaneswar, months after he and a teammate were controversially removed from a train for carrying their poles. The 21-year-old’s impressive performance, a personal best and his first indoor competition, surpassed the previous mark set by Dev Kumar Meena. Both athletes are now focused on future major events.
