OpenAI CEO Sam Altman suggested that remarks from rival Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei may have contributed to a recent Molotov cocktail attack on his home. Altman stated that “doomerism talk” and how certain labs, including Anthropic, speak about OpenAI “hasn’t helped.” The incident occurred after a suspect traveled from Texas to California with the intent to harm Altman.
