The Madras High Court has dismissed the Tamil Nadu government’s appeal against the acquittal of nine aides of forest brigand Veerappan in the 2000 Kannada actor Rajkumar abduction case. A trial court had acquitted the surviving nine accused in September 2018, a decision now upheld by the High Court after a five-year appeal process.
