Veteran politician Mukul Roy, a former railway minister and founding TMC member, passed away from a cardiac arrest at 1:30 am. Roy, who represented Krishnanagar Uttar and served twice in the Rajya Sabha, had a notable political journey, including stints with the BJP before rejoining the TMC. His son confirmed the news.
