A Bangladesh court has handed former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a 10-year prison sentence in two corruption cases concerning plot allocations. Her niece, British MP Tulip Siddiq, received a four-year sentence. The convictions stem from alleged irregularities in the Purbachal New Town project. Hasina, living in exile, faces multiple other convictions.
