Sabarimala’s chief priest, Kandararu Rajeevaru, was arrested in connection with the gold scam. He allegedly gave “silent permission” for the replating of temple idols outside the premises, violating ritual norms. Rajeevaru’s close links with the prime accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, are central to the investigation.
