Delhi’s free electricity scheme reached over 90% of households in December 2025, with 73% paying no bill. The scheme, offering free power up to 200 units and 50% subsidy up to 400 units, saw sustained coverage, benefiting nearly 8 in 10 domestic consumers on average last year.
