The city and surrounding areas have faced persistent rainfall and waterlogging for the past few days. The IMD has forecast continued very heavy rain across Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram districts. University of Madras exams have been postponed, transport is disrupted, and cultural events in Tiruvannamalai continue amid flooding.
