A catastrophic event has shaken the community at Lake Maï-Ndombe, where a boat capsized, tragically taking the lives of at least 20 people, with others still feared missing. The incident occurred Thursday night when the vessel, overloaded and lacking proper safety equipment, sank, claiming victims including a local Catholic deacon.
