A US envoy reportedly advised Russia’s top foreign policy adviser on how President Putin should pitch a peace plan to then-President Trump. The plan, discussed with Trump’s team, aimed to leverage Trump’s perceived role as a “man of peace” following a Gaza deal. The White House described the approach as “standard negotiating procedure.”
