Ensure dignified living in beggar homes: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has directed states and UTs to improve living conditions in beggar homes, ensuring dignified shelter, regular health check-ups, and nutritious food. The court also mandated vocational training for self-reliance and emphasized safety and childcare for women inmates. The Centre has been tasked with framing model guidelines for uniform implementation within three months.
