Mugger crocodiles in Vadodara’s Vishwamitri river are facing significant stress due to urban waste and industrial pollutants. A study by Ahmedabad University and the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust has found that stress hormone levels in these reptiles are up to four times higher than those in cleaner, rural environments.
