In Khajni, a bride fled with jewellery and cash during her wedding, leaving her 40-year-old groom, Kamlesh Kumar, stranded. Kumar had paid Rs 30,000 to a mediator for the marriage arrangement. Police have yet to receive a formal complaint but will investigate if one is made.
