India dropped teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for Sanju Samson in the fifth T20I against England, while Suryansh Shedge replaced Washington Sundar. Explaining the changes, captain Shreyas Iyer said the team wanted to “try what’s the best going forward for us as a team” and urged players to give “hundred percent effort, irrespective of the result”. England then piled up 257/3, powered by Jos Buttler’s 131 and Harry Brook’s unbeaten 95.
