CBSE’s Better Marks Rule, introduced under the new two-board examination system for Class 10 from the 2026 academic session, allows students to retain the higher score from two board exam attempts. Applied separately to each subject, the rule offers a chance to improve marks or clear failed papers while reducing exam pressure and eliminating the risk of losing existing scores.
