While the case shifted from accidental death to murder, Goyal’s defense claims no corroborating proof of her involvement. Investigators, however, cite extensive call records and CCTV footage suggesting a conspiracy between Goyal and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, who is also in custody. Both deny the allegations.
