A scuffle erupted at Thiruvananthapuram Corporation as CPI(M) and BJP councillors clashed outside the Mayor’s office. The CPI(M) demanded the resignation of a BJP councillor arrested in an assault case and questioned the validity of a recent oath taken by BJP members. The protest escalated when CPI(M) councillors allegedly blocked the Mayor’s entry, leading to injuries among several councillors, mostly women. Police intervened to allow the Mayor access.
