A Delhi consumer court has ordered a Ghaziabad housing society to refund Rs 79 lakh to two homebuyers for a 15-year delay in flat possession. The society, deemed deficient in service, must also pay Rs 5 lakh in compensation. Despite arguments about its cooperative status and RERA registration, the court upheld its responsibility to consumers, citing a Supreme Court ruling.
