Umar Khalid has approached the Delhi High Court for 15 days’ interim bail, from May 22 to June 5, to attend his uncle’s Chehlum ceremony and care for his mother undergoing surgery. A trial court had previously denied his request, deeming it not necessary. Khalid argues the trial court’s assessment was incorrect.
