Karnataka’s Planning and Statistics Minister, D. Sudhakar, a senior Congress leader and MLA from Hiriyur, passed away early Sunday at 66 after a prolonged lung infection. His demise, confirmed by the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, has deeply saddened Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who lauded Sudhakar’s exemplary public service as a cabinet colleague and legislator.
