Man wanted for rape-murder of 7-year-old boy gunned down in encounter

A 29-year-old man, Mahnoor, accused of abducting, sexually assaulting, and murdering a seven-year-old boy for ransom, was killed in a police encounter in Hardoi. He was shot during a checking operation after allegedly opening fire on the police team. The victim’s body was recovered from a maize field.
