Shivmurthi, 68, battled severe health issues including a recurrent hiatus hernia and a dangerously low heart rate. Doctors first stabilized his heart with a pacemaker. He then received a feeding tube to manage digestive problems. Finally, a complex robotic surgery successfully repaired the hernia. Shivmurthi is now recovering well, regaining weight and enjoying a more normal life.
