India has launched a new 30 kW Wide Band Gap (WBG)-based Integrated Drive System (IDS) for electric vehicles, developed by C-DAC in partnership with IIT Madras and Lucas TVS. This indigenous system aims to boost domestic manufacturing of key EV components, reduce import reliance, and lower costs.
