Microsoft is openly opposing Washington State’s House Bill 2515, which aims to protect ratepayers from increased power costs due to data center energy demands. The software giant argues the bill is “uniquely anti-competitive” and would effectively ban new data centers, despite agreeing with the bill’s intentions.
