The Supreme Court has granted Vikas Yadav, convicted in the 2002 Nitish Katara murder, furlough until March 7. Having served 23 years of his 25-year sentence, the court permitted his release to spend time during Holi, rejecting objections. This comes after the Delhi High Court had previously denied his furlough plea, citing the gravity of his offenses.
