The Bangladesh government has reshuffled army officers for the second time in a week. High-level officers facing criticism for their alleged pro-Pakistan and pro-Jamaat roles have been transferred. This move strengthens the position of army chief Waker-Uz-Zaman. The government is also ending services of contractual appointees from the interim government, breaking old chains of influence.
