Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assured action against those responsible for a controversial Class 8 NCERT textbook chapter on judicial corruption. The Supreme Court had ordered a ban and seizure of the book, deeming its content objectionable and a potential conspiracy to defame the judiciary. NCERT has apologized and is rewriting the chapter.
