The Calgary Flames are considering a trade with Nazem Kadri; however, an issue involving the salary and a contract is holding back the process. The veteran center has been attracting the attention of several NHL clubs. Calgary has, however, not been keen on salary retention, hence making negotiations difficult. The trade deadline is fast approaching, and there is increasing pressure to either keep Kadri in Calgary or sell him to a contender.
