US President Donald Trump claimed during his State of the Union address that his intervention prevented a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, stating the Pakistan Prime Minister would have died without his involvement. He cited praise from the Pakistani PM for saving “35 million” lives. However, India has rejected any third-party mediation in de-escalating tensions during Operation Sindoor.
