Former UK ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest of a 72-year-old man in connection with an investigation into alleged leaking of Downing Street emails and market-sensitive information to Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson reportedly believes he has committed no offense.
