Two policemen were shot dead inside a police outpost in Gurdaspur, Punjab, near the Pakistan border. Unidentified assailants attacked the outpost, leaving ASI Gurnam Singh and home guard Ashok Kumar with no chance to react. The killings have raised serious questions about security preparedness in the sensitive border region.
