National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is considering a complete discontinuation of cash payments at toll plazas nationwide from April 1. This move aims to further boost digital toll collection, with cash transactions already reduced to a mere 1%. The transition is expected to enhance commuting ease by improving lane throughput and reducing congestion.
