Women’s rights groups have demanded action against BJP MLA Bahadur Singh Koli for his remarks in the Rajasthan Assembly. Koli compared the current BJP government’s budgets to “having a son” and previous Congress budgets to “having a daughter,” deeming the former productive and the latter responsible for the Congress’s defeat. The organizations condemned the analogy as patriarchal and regressive.
