5% reservation for Muslims scrapped in Maharashtra

Maharashtra’s Social Justice Department has revoked the 5% reservation previously granted to certain Muslim communities under the SEBC category. This decision, based on court rulings and existing legal frameworks concerning the 2014 policy, impacts admissions to educational institutions and government job recruitments. The earlier order has now been officially cancelled.
