A Railway Protection Force constable is under investigation. He was seen in a video kneeling on a youth’s neck at Tiruvottiyur railway station. The youth was reportedly travelling without a ticket and was drunk. The incident drew widespread condemnation online. Officials have ordered an internal inquiry into the constable’s actions. Departmental action will follow the inquiry report.
