Celina Jaitly’s brother, Maj (Rtd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, remains detained in the UAE since September 2024. The Delhi High Court has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to appoint a legal firm to represent him. The court granted the Centre additional time to pursue diplomatic efforts after UAE authorities declined a consular access request.
