A Samajwadi Party leader, Lal Bahadur Yadav, was killed when a 1,000-kg high mast lighting pole collapsed onto his moving car in Pratapgarh. The incident occurred during installation near Babuganj market, with eyewitnesses stating the pole lost balance suddenly. Police are investigating the alleged negligence and safety concerns.
