The Pentagon is reportedly considering ending its partnership with AI firm Anthropic over restrictions on military use of its technology. Anthropic refuses to allow its AI for mass surveillance of citizens or fully autonomous weapons, frustrating defense officials. While other companies are more accommodating, Anthropic’s firm stance on ethical guardrails could lead to a complete termination of their collaboration.
