A Madras High Court judge recused himself from a CBI case after an allegation surfaced that a senior advocate took ₹50 lakh from a client for a favorable order. The judge referred the matter to the vigilance cell, citing the seriousness of the representation received from the All India Lawyers’ Association for Justice.
