Chhattisgarh horror: Out on bail, rape accused kills survivor, later dies by suicide

In a deeply troubling turn of events in Balod district, a 57-year-old man, recently released on bail for rape charges, has been implicated in the tragic murder of a 54-year-old anganwadi worker at her office. Eyewitnesses report that Lakhan Dewangan barricaded himself with the victim before the appalling act. Following the incident, he reportedly took his own life.
