An Indian national, Nikhil Gupta, has admitted guilt in a US court for orchestrating a $100,000 murder-for-hire plot against a US citizen. Prosecutors allege an Indian government employee directed the scheme targeting a Sikh separatist leader. Gupta’s arrest in the Czech Republic led to his extradition and subsequent plea.
