Bangladesh polls: Khaleda Zia’s BNP heads for big win, Jamaat lags

BNP is poised to win Bangladesh’s national election, securing a significant lead over Jamaat-e-Islami. The poll, held after the 2024 ‘July Uprising’ ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, saw a low turnout of 47%. Tarique Rahman is expected to become the next Prime Minister.
