A 70-year-old man has died just weeks after his wife succumbed to diarrhoea. Both illnesses were linked to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura. The man’s family is now mourning two losses in 40 days. The district administration had previously compensated the family for the wife’s death. The water contamination crisis has affected thousands in the area.
