India is set to protect its agriculture and dairy sectors by placing items like animal feed, ethanol, poultry, flowers, and tea on a negative list for US import concessions. Rice, wheat, cereals, and GM food products will also remain off-limits, safeguarding local farmers and addressing concerns over genetically modified imports.
