Madras High Court has dismissed actor Vijay’s plea challenging a Rs 1.5 crore penalty imposed by the income tax department. The department claimed Vijay failed to disclose Rs 15 crore income from the movie ‘Puli’ during the 2015-16 assessment period. The court concurred with the department’s submissions, upholding the penalty.
