‘Gavu Pattadam’: Men bite goats, leave them to die in ritual sacrifice during Jagtial temple jatara

A brutal animal sacrifice involving around 50 goats, killed by biting their throats, has been reported from Jagtial district during the Bheemanna Jatara. Animal rights activists recorded the disturbing ritual, leading to an FIR against organizers under multiple acts. Despite being illegal, such sacrifices persist, with locals citing tradition and belief in wish fulfillment.
