A 12-year-old child labourer was rescued from a residence in Guwahati’s Panjabari area on Sunday night. Found in poor condition with signs of abuse, the girl had been working as a domestic help for six years. Employers Amarin Akhtar Lashkar and Baharul Haque Lashkar were booked by Dispur police after initially denying the child’s presence.
