Cricket’s rulebook sees 73 significant updates from October, including mandatory completion of the final over in multi-day matches, even after a wicket falls. Wicketkeeper positioning is clarified, and the ‘bunny hop catch’ is removed. Laminated bats are now legal in open-age cricket, and new ball sizes are introduced for women and juniors. Overthrows are officially defined for the first time.
