Amazon has requested an extension from the FCC to deploy its Project Kuiper internet satellites, citing launch vehicle development delays and manufacturing disruptions. The company seeks until July 2028 to deploy half of its planned satellites, a deadline originally set for July 2026. Despite significant investment and reserved launch capacity, Amazon faces challenges in meeting the original timeline.
