Modernisation efforts will receive Rs 2.19 lakh crore, with key allocations for aircraft and naval fleets. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced customs duty exemptions on aircraft components and raw materials, aiming to invigorate the defence aerospace industry.
